You guys panic button is way too low lol.
This DNS trick is maintained by someone who owns the specific server that hosts this dns server trick. In fact the DNS trick acts just like a kind of firewall where it makes unable to resolve the specific address from PSN that makes your console know that there is a newer firmware update available. Which is why the firmware doesn't allow you to connect to PSN. The Proxy trick does exactely the same thing as the DNS trick it just blocks the PSN address(es) that are specifically for the update stuff.
I'm pretty sure the guy(s) who is/are maintaining this dns server will look it up and fix it to block the new address(es) from PSN from blocking the ps3 to connect to PSN. Just give it time, and re-try it once in a while, I'm sure it will get fixed soon.
These Proxy/DNS tricks been there for quite a long time now and Sony blocked them many times in the past and yet the guys who makes those Proxy/DNS tricks always figure out new work arounds. Hell, the first time I ever heard of that Proxy or DNS trick it was back then in 2007 and it still exists in 2011 lol.
