  • Zitat von Tock: „I would rather make it possible for everyone to access the chat without accounts or something. Edit: All your replies defend your decision and while everyone has agreed that my complaint is true, you stay with your decision which makes you seem arrogant. “ So without a nick and without a (then confirmed) FC? What's the purpose then? To Edit1: Yes, I'm certainly arrogant wasting my own time on this, you are right. I'm out for today. Have a nice weekend.

  • Zitat von Leseratte: „The player list still does not refresh when someone enters / leaves. But I do not get kicked any more. Was probably an issue with my system. Another suggestion: Pressing the Up-arrow on the Keyboard should scroll through the last messages sent (if you want to re-send a message). And a question: How is this chat implemented? If it were a simple IRC server with a web interface, we might be able to connect games which use "peerchat" directly to that IRC server. “ Members enteri…

  • Zitat von Tock: „The idea of a chat is that people can idle there and look for people to play with for example Onslaught. I wont put my Wii on for hours on end just so I can access the chat and see if anyone is willing to play the game with me. “ This is already happening will all games except Mario Kart. Now you just get the chance to actually talk to other players instead digging in the dark whether there are any, without jumping through additional loops like random facebook pages and unrelate…

  • Thanks for all the feedback in this short time! Looks like the user list was not working as intended, it's updating more frequently now so I hope it's accurate this way. As for chat spam I added a simple check, but it will get something more robust later. Zitat von SpyKid: „- the thing with the network. There are 4 wiis used by different people connected on my network, so these could be me too, right? I think also, if an user has an account on this forum, they should be able to login with that. …

  • For everyone playing games on Wiimmfi there's now an easy way to chat with each other on chat.wiimmfi.de. One doesn't need to register anywhere for using it. The only prerequisite is that the Wii is on the same network as the device accessing the chat (i.e. sharing the same IP address). As there may be other people in the same household there's also the option to add a password. For games that don't send the account's nick name (like Animal Crossing), that name will first be asked for before one…

Zitat von Arturkeibel: „Geht das auch ohne Profil löschen? Ich hab so viel Fortschritt in meinen Profil, möchte nix löschen habe mich aber früher mit Nintendo WFC verbunden “ This is an English topic, there is a German subboard where you can talk in German. As Leseratte stated you can use any online Wii game to connect successfully at least once, then you can register your Wii and re-activate all your old Nintendo WFC FCs at wiimmfi.de/login . If you indeed have no single spare profile in any of…

  • Question About Banning

@BeanJr I 'dislike' your post because you constantly keep rambling about stuff matter of factly even though you have no insight whatsoever. Most of the time you are either wrong or highly misleading. Not that I really care, and nobody is interested in correcting you as the details of the implementation are kept secret for a purpose that should be obvious, but the amount of it is really annoying.

What would be the use case? Just suggesting to keep personal backups of savegames seems to be the easier solution compared to building a potentially huge can of worms (need to keep track who uses/used pids and store that info for a long time to be useful, but even then no total assurance that it's not actually still in use and the person requesting it is the same person etc. pp.).

  • SSBB: How to Play with Anyone

Finding a player can only work while another player is searching as well. Considering how few players are online and how random the chance is that one of them is searching right at the same moment, I strongly suggest exchanging FCs with others and organizing meeting times instead.

Zitat von MAXCPMBRIAN: „i recently patched my mario strikers charged iso and when connecting online when the game is "getting statistics" error code 98020 pops up, i've played project m online and never had an error occur“ That should be normal and you should be able to play the game just fine other than that. As the stats page says for Mario Strikers Charged: "Partial working. Friend rooms and statistics don't work."

Sounds more like a side effect of how they try to unban themselves. As I wrote in the other thread I think that's their local issue and not our problem.

  • Sounds like they broke something locally with all their hacking. Not really our problem at all.

Oh ok. Alles klar. Maybe this safeguarding step is not really necessary for games still with status "testing" (if it can be handled on a per game base, that is)? Also is there a way to see when the last full stop-update-start update was? I was looking at the base statistics which showed that you indeed initiated an update each time, so I ended up being only more confused when noticing that the columns were still missing. Edit: I see in mkw-ana that you did a full stop update, thanks! Going to te…

@Wiimm Sorry, but the columns still are not in the database... Just got the following error again from MS: "ERROR: DB query error: Unknown column 'z_lobby' in 'where clause'!" and mkw-ana also throws an error when trying to select one of the game specific columns that should be there after the update.

Zitat von Leseratte: „The peerchat test server runs again.“ Thank you, peerchat worked like a charm now, and online proceeded until error code 11701 turned up this time, which is due to missing columns in the MS database. @Wiimm Attached is a new def including all the missing columns, please update. Thanks!

Zitat von Leseratte: „The test peerchat server is enabled now. Try again.“ Thanks, the game is getting further now (to a room listing that's not functional) but after some time the error code 42003 is still returned. The game's only communication with the peerchat server is an empty TCP=SYN packet that's repeated three further times as the server doesn't respond: (Versteckter Text)

Thanks for activating! Just some first little findings about Reginleiv after two connection tests: Registering and first step of login works. Stops with error code 42003. @Ciapa FYI Reginleiv uses gamestats TCP right after registration but that seemed to not cause any issues as is. On the second connection while already being registered gamestats wasn't even contacted again. @Leseratte Right before the error code 42003 the peerchat server is being contacted, which redirects to your server. The g…
