I searched for different projects and found this site. mogaserv.sufami.org/
It seems, that these guys are not too far away from finishing servers for Monster Hunter Tri (Wii).
The administrator said in one topic:
".. our work can also be of help to anyone who wants to bring back the WiFi servers."
Maybe you could contact him/them.

Monster Hunter Tri only uses the login server from Gamespy / Nintendo which we already have recreated completely, I think.

If you completed it already, you could help them too.

And as far as i read, the admin is only going to use the changed DNS server in the wii menu..
Interesting, isn´t it? I mean i wonder how he will be able to do that, without patching the game itself.

Well, on their page there are a few tutorials about how to patch a new SSL cert into the game.

We take another way and simply patch the game to use HTTP, and so the certs aren't checked any more.

Nearly all of our knowledge is available in the CT-Wiki, if they want to know something, they could read it from there.

Leseratte, i noticed something.
Monster Hunter Tri uses the gamespy servers only for authentication, because Capcom do have their own servers.
Maybe it´s worth, contacting them

Why do WE have to cantact them

Our people want to create a server to play MarioKart Wii, so if you want a server for MH3, than you have to do this work. Our wiiki can give you the basic to create a server, but the other work for MH3 you have to do

No, the Monster Hunter servers are not the point, Metaknight.
The point is, that they may know a lot of other things, which could be used for other games.
I know, that the primary focus is on Mario Kart Wii, but when it´s done, other games might be revived as well

They may not. The auth server is already decrypted fully, and MH Tri only uses own (Capcom) servers for anything else.

Your are right, if the server will run (and I hope that it will work) than you can port it to other games.
Maybe the posted Link / forum will give the needed information to make it happen
