wiimmfi-Patcher for Mario Kart Wii

      Hi
      Is there any plans to make it work with CTGP Revolution mod? To my knowledge the last version can't be made into a .iso.
      My drive broke so I can only load from usb now so I probably will be able to play only normal mkwii.

      Well, we must wait until Chadderz and MrBean implement this patch into CTGP-R. We can't do this as we are unable to patch CTGP-R.

      They plan to patch it when the servers are down so one can continue playing CTGP-R.

      It's GPL'ed, so technically/license it's OK, but they don't stay up-to-date. That is the actual problem.

      50320 is no server problem, it's a problem with your internet connection.
      But you better use a real Wii instead of Dolphin, because Dolphin has a huge delay and you may get banned.

      Stable 3.5 or Developer 3.5? Please use the newest Developer-Build to play online. But I dont recommend playing Online with Dolphin, cause it wont work very well.

      If you want to use a stable version, use best Stable 4.0.2, as there are the functions already. But why use Dolphin, if you have a real Wii? It works with Dolphin not really good.

      I have updated the first post because of an update to v3:


      wiimmfi-Patcher
      for
      Mario Kart Wii

      This patcher is only Mario Kart Wii. It patches all MKW based images to run on the new server. Comparing with the wimmfi-Patcher, it replaces some texts and also enables the "all ranks patch" to find people online independent of their ranking points.

      The patcher runs on Linux, mac and Windows and patche the iages either for Wiimmfi or for the ALTWFC/DWC-Server.

      Version 3 fix also an important bug: Mii exchange will be possible when the SAKE server runs.

      mario kart mac

      I'm on mac and i know i have to to run the patch-wiimmfi.sh file and to do that i need to do the chmod i thing. i followed the read.me file that came in the download and it didn't work. could you help me run the .sh file on my mac? possibly go through exactly what i need to type in terminal?

      As far as I know you aren't forced to chmod a file when you want to execute it. But if you do you can launch it this way in a terminal:

      1. ./patch-wiimmfi.sh


      Usually I chmod 755 in your case, run (or google) "man chmod" for more details.

      Otherwise you have to specify the program which be used to run the script (usually bash/sh) for a .sh file.

      1. bash patch-wiimmfi.sh


      Anyway, if the first line begin with a shebang (i.e. "#!"), this line specify the program to use for the file.

      Try the following:

      1. chmod 755 patch-wiimmfi.sh
      2. ./patch-wiimmfi.sh


      Be sure to have your MKWii backup in the right folder and it should be okey.
