Some basic and already implemented ideas:
* multi language support (de,us,uk); names in us and uk differ!
* fast access of old competitions
* descriptive names of competitions
* additional rankings; other than only Top 100

The last point is important:
At the moment I have implemented an "Exclude" mode. Vehicles of the Top 10 (or 25) are excluded from this table. This gives non competitive players a chance for a top placement if using other than standard vehicles.

In the next months I plan other rankings like
* karts only, bike (in drifter) only, bikes (out drifter) only
* small vehicles/karts/bikes only, medium * only, large * only

* best combination of a kart and bike (sum of times)
* best combination of 3 weight classes (sum of times)
But here we have a record delivering problem: The Wii sends only the best record and only if it was not send before. So if you played with your favorite bike and get a perfect time, you have no chance to upload other times with other vehicles.

At the moment the only chance is to start with not so good vehicles and then switch to the better ones step by step.

We think about solutions:
* A cheat code that will reset the local stats at Wii site (if vehicle is changed).
* Allow profile combinations of the same console.

The competition statistics supports now different languages (in alphabetic order):

Most of the "language name" translations are made by Google translator. Tell me, if Google is wrong. You can switch the language by the first drop down menu.

I have extracted all names (drivers, vehicles and country names) from the BMG (text) files of MKWii. And here Nintendo released different files for US and EN, for MX and SP, and for CA and FR. Finally, NL is a user made translation. More translations are possible.

The main texts are only available in English and German at the moment. So all other languages have 1 or 2 fallback languages (either DE, EN or both). Later if I completed the webpage, I will ask you for translations.

* Sum of best kart and bike of a profile
* Sum of best kart, out-drifter bike and in-drifter bike of a profile
* Sum of best small, median and heavy vehicle of a profile

Another possibility is a cheat code that simply clears the scores of the current competition. Then active the cheat before each vehicle change.

Disadvantage: Your highscore is not stored locally.

About translation:
Invitation letter and Wii channel description are very incomplete. After we have finished the new statistics page and created a new competition info page we will ask for translations for the whole competition task again.

wiimmfi.de (WD) and competitions.wiimmfi.de (CWD) were complete different websites running on different servers at the beginning. Now they are at the same server, but CWD doesn't access the WD database.


I will change this now -- and I'm still working on it: Direct and shared database access.

The new statistics page is one result of it.

In the last 8 week we worked at the competition part of Wiimmfi:

• The overview page was redesigned.
  
• Internally we have reorganized the database structure to support the following features.
  
• We have a new statistics page with much more options, an extended multi language support and highlighted own records.
  
• We created an interface for competition developers. It allows upload and testing competitions at Wii/WiiU without personnel support of Leseratte or me. Therefor I implemented a new downloader (server side) and Leseratte a new patcher for developers.
  
• Today I enabled the new competition downloader for all. A result of it is the colored output of the competition announcement.
  

Most of the work is done! But there are some open points, most of them without effects seen by the standard user.
