  • Wii Home
    Wii Home ist ein grafisches Menü das durch den PreLoader gestartet werden kann. Dort bekommt man dann die Auswahl ob man in den Homebrew Channel oder in das normale Systemmenü der Wii booten möchte. Dieses Menü unterstützt auch Themes, es kann also grafisch komplett angepasst werden.

    Installationsanleitung
    1. wiihome.dol ins Rootverzeichnis der SD/SDHC-Karte platzieren
    2. Preloader starten
    3. Klick auf "Settings"
    4. Unter "autoboot" "file" einstellen
    5. Unter "return to" "system menu" einstellen
    6. Klick auf "save settings"
    7. B-Knopf drücken und zu "install/load dol file" gehen
    8. "wiihome.dol" auswählen und A-Knopf drücken
    9. Wii aus- und wieder einschalten
    Themes wechseln

    Themes sind im Ordner "WiiHome" im Rootverzeichnis der SD/SDHC-Karte zu plazieren.

    Eigene Themes erstellen

    Themes sind im Ordner "WiiHome" im Rootverzeichnis der SD/SDHC-Karte zu plazieren. Das Bildformat muss PNG sein. Nachfolgend eine Dateiliste:
    • background.png: Der Hintergrund. Das Bild muss 640*480 Pixel groß sein.
    • button.png: Der Button. Das Bild muss 500*100 Pixel groß sein.
    • button_selected.png: Der Button der vom Cursor ausgewählt wurde. Bildgröße muss 500*100 Pixel sein.
    • font.png: Schrift. Bild muss 1024*8 Pixel groß sein
    • cursor.png: Der Cursor: Bild muss 96*96 Pixel groß sein.
    • music.mp3: Musik im MP3-Format.
    Andere Channels starten

    Mit Wii Home kann man auch andere Channels starten. Dazu muss zuerst eine channel.txt erstellt und im "WiiHome"-Ordner platziert werden. In der Textdatei werden nun folgende Dinge reingeschrieben:
    • 1 für ein Titel das mit 00010001 beginnt
    • 2 für ein Titel das mit 00010002 beginnt
    • 4 für ein Titel das mit 00010004 beginnt
    • 8 für ein Titel das mit 00010008 beginnt
    Als nächstes schaut man in der offiziellen Titel-Datenbank nach dem Titel seines Wunschchannels und gibt diesen als Buchstabencode ein, nicht als Hexadezimalcode! Für den Wii-Shop-Kanal muss man folglich 00010002-HABA eingeben.

    Als letztes muss in Wii Home durch Druck auf den 1-Knopf "Load the Homebrew Channel" zu "Load my Wii Channel" geändert werden, damit der Kanal aus der erstellen channel.txt gebootet wird.
