Hello, I was about to play Mario Kart DS online. The 3DS I'm using since years to play got EC23912. For some reason this is also happening to other players and other games I have noticed. Is this a Wiimmfi bug? I could play Mario Kart DS yesterday online and before but now I can't. FC of my Mario Kart DS profile is: 5288-8166-4748. I'm not using a downloaded save. It's a save created by this 3DS like few years ago. And no, this is not a April Fools joke

Ok also Abstand von M-Net. Überrascht mich aber wie gesagt, weil ich bei einem Partner von M-Net bin und sowas nicht hatte. Im Gegenteil: Der hat kein Sinn gesehen IPv6 zu schalten und hat jedem Kunden einfach eine echte IPv4 gegeben. I don't know what router you have so I can't help. I also said, you can DM me on Discord for further analysis. I got nothing. So you have to find out if your WAN IP starts with 10. or 100., and if not, try port forwarding or UPnP. If it starts with 10. or 100., contact your ISP to give you a public IP.

Maybe it's just a profile ban... But you are apparently able to play with another license. Are you able to find other players too? Else you should really consider fixing something at your NAT/Firewall what I'm suggesting since days...

So you receive EC23917 now? And for what you got banned? Have you checked the ban page or is it a shadowban?

Ich denke nicht, dass es die DNS ist. 23913 ist ein Wiimmfi Fehlercode also wird mit Wiimmfi schon kommuniziert in dem Sinne. 23913 bedeutet, dass die Console Creation vorübergehend ausgesetzt wurde. Die Frage ist eher, warum. Ich hab hier auch eine Wii die mit DNS zu Wiimmfi rausgeht und es direkt ging ohne Probleme. Konnte auch Spieler finden, ganz normal.

DMZ on a symmetric NAT changes nothing. Really nothing. You can get Normal NAT when you have a public IP on your WAN (router obtains a public IP and not an IP which starts with 10. or 100.).

Do you have a symmetric NAT in your WAN? Is UPnP green bottom right when you launch CTGP?

Either you do port forwarding to the payload port for the Wii or you look for the UPnP option and enable that. I wouldn't recommend to put the console in DMZ. Forwarding one single port is enough when it's the payload port.

When you have problems finding other players and you can login without 23917 or any other error codes, it's very likely your NAT/firewall is just bad. And I have also told you this on Discord before. So you should maybe address your NAT/firewall issues in order to play again.

I had this issue too. For some reason the MKDS netcode doesn't like other players/consoles when they have the same external IP. So when I gave every DS or emulator it's own external IP (LTE, VPN, ...), they began finding each other like it should. 85020 indicates a firewall blocking certain ports. Got solved for me when the DS was in DMZ or certain ports were forwarded.
