  • I noticed a weird bug that occurred with the latest Intermezzo. For some reason, it appears that "3DS DK Jungle" was half-way picking up on the "DK" prefix. ct.wiimm.de says that "DK" shouldn't be read as a prefix for it, but the track was sorted as "Jungle" and in-game it only appeared as "3DS Jungle".

  • I believe that's currently caused by having Texture Hacks enabled. If you don't plan on using Texture Hacks, disable the setting in the LPAR file.

  • Quote from Wiimm: “Usually I place missed arenas into the next Intermezzo. But here I decided to skip them because status fail and because other variants were included. Should I resupply the arenas? ” As long as there isn't an overflow of Battle Arenas next week, then you may as well include them if you're able. We'll certainly play them

  • Something I noticed: For last week's Intermezzo (2024-01-30), there were more Battle Arenas added during the testing phase then there was space for in the distribution. As a result, two Battle Arenas (ID 18851 and ID 18852) were skipped and did not appear. I wanted to wait until the next Intermezzo released to see if this system was already in place but since it's seemingly not, would it be possible for you to set something up to where if there are more new Battle Arenas than what LE-CODE suppor…

Quote from Luigi Hack Fan: “Ich hab ne andere Kleinigkeit gefunden.

  • I see that the new build of WMKF today includes the necessary changes to the shell scripts to use this feature, but the included WSZST build is too out of date. Would you be willing to send an updated build so I can try this out to see if it fixes the problems on my end (Cygwin64)? Or, if you'd prefer not to, would you be willing to send the Race.szs file that it builds on your end?

  • Issue with wszst patch --le-menu

Trainiax - - Mario Kart Wii

I think that you included the wrong .brlyt in the ui-source folder (the one in the ctcode folder is 732 bytes while the one in the ui-source folder is 724 bytes).

  • Issue with wszst patch --le-menu

Quote from Wiimm: “Not using --le-menu is not a solution. ” What about adding an option where you can use --le-menu=DIRECTORY and override the files? If not all files are in that directory it will use the default ones.

  • I, along with a group of friends, often play the Intermezzos on Fridays and we use a patch2 file to apply some mods to the packs to fit to our liking. One of these is a modified Race.szs file that changes the course_name brlyt and brctr files for the course intro. Since the addition of --le-menu being patched, the intro text gets modified and ends up in the center of the screen on the course intro screen. Is there any way that we can modify this to get our proper course intro text back? I'll att…

  • Quote from Lycan: “I noticed from the pack I am using, some of the tracks are reported as an "Unknown track" via Wiimmfi website. Most of these have gone away over the years, only very slowly, but there are still several left. ” If it's a pack that is public and is or was on the Wiiki, then please let us know so we can make sure they get processed. If it's a private pack, then you can send the files to me, Krummers, or Wiimm and we will get them processed without granting everyone a download lin…

Quote from Tock: “I am not sure why, but for me wszst normalize --szs track.wbz generates an szs file with the file extension bz instead. ” Just tested and have the same results. Using wszst compress --szs --norm track.wbz correctly generates an .szs file: both are identical.

Using certain WLECT commands (wlect lpar lecode-USA.bin > lpar.txt -BH and wlect patch lecode-*.bin --lpar lpar.txt) leaves a "_trace-wszst.tmp" file in the folder handling the operations. Is this intended? I am running v2.29a on the x64 Windows version.

  • Quote from CLF78: “Because literally no one knew about it except a few users. Of course you don't get backlash for something you don't reveal until it's finished... ” From the time this project began, the collection of all texture hacks occurred on a talk page on the Wiiki, publicly accessible to all. As it has been almost a year since this initially started and the initial collection process is finished, the link at the top of the page is dead, but originally it contained a message very similar…

  • Boost Ruins (ID 14147) and Untitled 5 v1 (ID 14148) were missed from this Intermezzo, can you include them next week?

I have edited the English names and descriptions slightly with improved grammar. I don't have editing access so I left it as a comment on each cell.

  • Quote from Wiimm: “Ot is parsed as arena: ct.wiimm.de/i/9787 ” In last week's Intermezzo: Source Code (1 line)

  • "BK Click Clock Wood Hub" was meant to be parsed as a battle arena, not a track. Is there something different in the filename I have to do for battle arenas?

  • Reminder: Quote from Trainiax: “Here is the next batch of request tracks. This contains tracks from EC2Joshi's version of Mario Kart Wii R, a missing track from CTGP, some missing tracks from the requests lists, and other changes from the requests list. Important note: Despite the version number, "PMWR Cloud Garden v1.08.hns" still functions perfectly as a normal track, so it should not be marked as "mode=hide+seek". The version number is because those changes were included in "Navi's HNS CT Pac…
