Do I have to face any consequences from Nintendo when I install the WiiU homebrew channel with Haxchi?

Hello you guys,

so, I would like to install the homebrew channel on my WiiU by using Haxchi.

My questions about all this:

If Nintendo throws out a new update for the WiiU, is it going to erase the homebrew channel?
Can Nintendo see if I installed any unsupported software?

That is pretty much unknown. Nobody has checked all the data the WiiU exchanges with the Nintendo servers - it would be possible but unlikely that they detect this.
And nobody knows what Nintendo will do with the next update.

What is Nintendo going to do? Brick your console deliberately because you use Homebrew? Unlikely.

Even if they do care, my guess would be they'd remove the non-official titles and don't do anything else. This was what they did on the Wii.
Also, the last WiiU update is quite old and there still hasn't been a new one, so I'd guess they don't care about WiiU and are working on the Nintendo Switch.

The console did give out notices (on first use) though on how it will be rendered unable to be used any longer if you were to install modified software onto the console. Though I am fairly certain they won't track it as much. But who knows...

Did it actually say "will" or did it say "might"? I doubt Nintendo is allowed to brick MY console just because I do something they don't like.

Right now it may be kinda risky, because Nintendo may bring out a last update with Zelda BoTW. i would wait until the 5. March, but you decide.

I dont get why people believe Nintendo will update the Wii U after they stopped the production of it.

there was a secret non-version-increasing dsi patch for blocking a specific flashcard that got installed in the background, i tried both versions of the card before and after the update, it worked before but not anymore. So, the wiiu may or may not get something like this too.
