I have just, after writing about 200 lines of C code and 480 lines of Assembly code, successfully played an online race in a friend room with an increased online track limit. In theory, the LE-CODE should now support up to 0x7ffe = 32766 slots (32 VS tracks, 10 BT tracks, 26 slots reserved for technical reasons, 32698 custom tracks)
You would run out of disc space (smallest track in Wiimms archive = about 0.8 MB, 32700 tracks = at least 26160 MB = 26 GB, while a disc partition can only have up to 8 GB) before running out of available track IDs.
Now I "just" have to fix the live view, which also only has one byte for the currently played track ...
