Dieses ist die Jubiläumsausgabe von MKW-Fun. Exakt vor 10 Jahren, am 14 Februar 2010, erschien die allererste Ausgabe MKW-Fun 2010-02 in Zusammenarbeit mit Jillian. Damals mussten wir die Strecken in händischer und mühevoller Kleinstarbeit im Image mit WiiScrubber austauschen. Da ich das auf keinen Fall nochmals wollte, begann ich in einem WIT-Tools die Erzeugung der Images zu implementieren.

Damals waren 10 Arenen plus 32 Strecken dabei. Mangels Custom-Strecken gab es viele Texture- und Modell-Hacks. MKW-Fun 2020-02 enthält dagegen 10 Arenen plus 32 Original-Strecken plus 347 Custom-Strecken, die auf 2 Battle-Cups und 96 Renn-Cups aufgeteilt sind. Gegenüber dem Vorgänger MKW-Fun 2019-10 sind 24 neue Strecken und 28 Updates dabei. 5 Strecken sind rausgefallen.

Es gibt auch einige neue Eigenschaften im LE-CODE: So erscheinen z.B. Goombas nach einem Treffer wieder in ihrer skalierten Größe und in manchen Strecken wird die Positionsanzeige (teilweise) ausgeblendet. Darüber hinaus gibt es noch weitere Eigenschaften, die für Strecken-Ersteller sehr interessant sind. Eine davon ist die Vergrößerung des Wirkbereiches von Items im Online-Spiel, so dass wir »The Plain of Atlantis « aufnehmen konnten.

Das nächste MKW-Fun wird am 18. Juni erscheinen. An diesem Tage läuft Wiimmfi exakt 2231 Tage. Und das ist genau die Anzahl der Tage, mit der man das Original-MKWii auf dem Original-Server von Nintendo/Gamespy spielen konnte. Also ein weiteres Jubiläum!

This is the anniversary edition of MKW-Fun. Exactly 10 years ago, on February 14, 2010, the very first distribution of MKW-Fun (MKW-Fun 2010-02) was published in collaboration with Jillian. At that time we had to swap the tracks in manual and painstaking work with WiiScrubber. Since I definitely didn't want to do that again, I started to implement the creation of the images in WIT tools.

At that time there were 10 arenas plus 32 tracks. Due to the lack of custom tracks, there were many texture and model hacks. MKW-Fun 2020-02, on the other hand, contains 10 battle arenas plus 32 original tracks plus 347 custom tracks, which are divided into 2 Battle Cups and 96 Racing Cups. Compared to the predecessor MKW-Fun 2019-10, there are 24 new tracks and 28 updates. 5 tracks are removed.

There are also some new features in LE-CODE: For example, Goombas are restored to scaled size after hit and the position tracks is hidden in some parts of the race. In addition, there are other new features that are very interesting for track creators. One of them is the enlargement of the effective range of items in the online game, so that we could include »The Plain of Atlantis«.

From now on, this release will be used in our Tournaments on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

The next MKW-Fun will appear on June 18th. On this day, Wiimmfi runs exactly 2231 days. And that is exactly the number of days with which the original MKWii could be played on the original Nintendo/Gamespy server. So another anniversary!

Ich habe gerade v2 freigegeben. v2 ist voll kompatibel zu v1.

Die einzige Änderungen ist ein Update des LE-CODE's:

• Es wurden Anzeige-Probleme mit Hide Position Tracker behoben, die nur bei 4:3 Bildschrimen auftauchten.
  
• Es wurde ein Freeze-Bug behoben, der gelegentlich auftritt, wenn ein Spieler einen Raum verlässt und die aktuelle Strecke Hide Position Tracker verwendet.
  

Es gibt nun 2 Alternativen: Entweder wird v2 komplett geladen (508 MB) oder ein Update von v1 zu v2 (<1MB) wird ins v1-Verzeichnis kopiert.

I have just released v2. v2 is fully compatible with v1.

The only change is an update of the LE-CODE:

• Fixed the hide-position-tracker functionality for 4:3 screens.
  
• Fixed a freeze bug that occasionally occurs when a player leaves a room and the current track uses the hide-position-tracker feature.
  

There are now two alternatives: Either v2 is downloaded completely (508 MB) or an update from v1 to v2 (<1MB) is copied to the v1 directory.

Da ich heute MKW-Fun 2020-06 veröffentlicht habe, liefere ich hier eine kleine Download-Statistik für MKW-Fun 2020-02:

v1 wurde 4974 mal geladen, v2 20668 mal. Das sind zusammen 25642 Downloads.
Die Regions-Statistik gibt 6789 Rennen an. Ca. 10% sind dabei durch unsere Turnierabende entstanden, die anderen 90% durch unabhängige Treffen.
