I am making a mod of super mario galaxy (1 not 2) and i was wondering if anyone would have any ideas on what players three and four should do.
Question...
-
-
Maybe try to create some custom block that only player 3 & 4 can go through the block and vice versa
-
Nice...
I also plan on making players three and four the Blue and Yellow toads like in New super Mario bros Wii.
Do you know how to Access players three and four's Wii remote? (I can do players 1 and 2, and two Gamecube controllers... but I cannot do players three and four.)
Also, how would I make players 2 through 4 have an actual player like Mario, instead of cursors?
Would I just create new code sections in the .dol file (Or use gecko codes...) that are copies of Mario's code? -
I never modded SMG so i cant help you sadly
-
Ok.
Do you know anyone who could?
(I just started modding SMG yesterday...)
(And Thanks for the idea... it is an excellent idea and i am working on it now...)
And...
Is there an RAM map or something for wii games? -
Look at this Page for the Dolphin dump mkwii.com/showthread.php?tid=1141 and here if you wanna do it on a real wii
That page is for mkw but can be used also for SMG -
Cool!
that will help alot thanks!
do you also know whether or not you can use a file from your sd card on a gecko code?
(e.g, if i had a new super mario bros wii level NOT in the wbfs and used a gecko code to load it from my sd card?) -
You can use riivolution for that. Look at this website for more information: rvlution.net/wiki/Patch_Templates/#New_Super_Mario_Bros._Wii
-
True...
why did I even have that question?
(I have had it for a long time but only now do I realize it was pointless...)
though, I mean, in new super Mario bros Wii, people have made mods with sprites that were not already in the game.
how did they do that?
wouldn't you have to use some sort of game hacking method? (after all... your not just modding the game files, but the game itself too.)
(And, as long as you know how to use riivolution... IT RULES!!!)
SM64 bob-omb battlefield galaxy!
(That would be really cool...)
(Sorry to be random... but I will make that!) -
Would be cool!
-
Ok...
I have looked in the config section of dolphin emulator for the "..." button (In the RAM dumping tutorial you sent me...) but I cannot find it. (I am running 5.0)
I have uploaded My First Mod of SMG! (Go to the bottom of the first planet in the good egg galaxy to use it!)
(Pointless... it is a complete waste of time.)
(Also, it is the first time I got riivolution to work immediately!) -
Cool but it's still says that it is uploading
-
I think the upload may have been disrupted...
(It is just a launch star in the wrong place that leads back to itself anyway...)
Here we go! (Super Mario World Reference...)
for This mod you will have to provide the other stage files to run it...
(read the RMGE01.xml file for details...)
(It's the same mod...) -
Wow cool!
-
Thanks...
(I know it is a very beginner mod... but it is kind of cool!)
I am now working on a much (MUCH!!!!) better mod... -
It's fine for your first mod
-
(thanks!)
also, i have made a homebrew application that is supposed to run a single mp3 file (Nothing else. not even an exit function) but it has an error...
it shows the "Exception: (dsi)" screen but doesn't work...
what do i do?
(Here is the .dol file)
----^----''{
It reads a file from the SD card (sd:/MUSIC/DLBGM.mp3) but I haven't included that in the download (I do have it on my SD card)... -
Also, i am proud to present, a slightly better mod (I am not fully finished... but this is v0.0.1 Beta)
If only I inserted the link... -
Ok, I have tried compiling the brainslug channel following the instructions in the download...
but it says there is no such file or directory as "ogc/semaphore.h" but I have this directory... (in "libogc/include/ogc/semaphore.h")
What do I do? -
Is the the folder where the makefile is?
-
the makefile is in the project folder, does the project need to be in the same directory as the folder it can't find?
Do I Need to include libogc, or is that automatically referenced?
(This is what it says is incorrect...)
#include <ogc/semaphore.h>
It also says it cannot create folder "opt:/devkitpro/bslug" because there is no such file or directory...
and, should I put the project somewhere specific?
I have fixed it a little... (For whoever has the same problem, put the brainslug folder in libogc/include/ before you continue...),
but it still doesn't work.Dieser Beitrag wurde bereits 1 mal editiert, zuletzt von CONandfish ()

If you want an easier way of compiling brainslug without all that compiler setup you can just fork the original repository ( github.com/Chadderz121/brainslug-wii ), commit & push changes to your fork, and Github will automatically compile it for you and give you a binary to download.
No, you don't need to have it in a specific location, and putting the brainslug folder into libogc/include is almost certainly wrong.DevkitPro Archiv (alte Versionen / old versions): wii.leseratte10.de/devkitPro/

Thanks for your help! (Though, I do want to learn how to compile it. I wanted to compile some apps I have made but I haven't fully got some to work.)
Where do I put the project to compile it? -
I have never compiled Wii stuff on Windows before so I have no idea where to install anything.
On Linux you just install the proper version of devkitPPC (r37), libogc (2.1.0), general-tools, gamecube-tools, ppc-mxml (2.11) and libfat-ogc (1.1.5) and they are automatically put at the correct place and you just need to run "make install" and then "make".DevkitPro Archiv (alte Versionen / old versions): wii.leseratte10.de/devkitPro/

I have all this, but it still doesn't work! (I have run both, and they both have errors.)
Is there a problem with brainslug, or is it my computer? (Did anyone else have this problem?)
(Also, I have an application here, that isn't working. could you help me see what's wrong with it? (It requires a file "DLBGM.mp3" in "sd:/MUSIC/")
