List of disallowed textures?

Hi there,

So I got banned on cam for having a disallowed texture. It was allowed ONE day ago. On Tockdom it doesn't even say it's disallowed...

So how do I know which textures are forbidden and which aren't? And what is the reason for the texture censorship?

Hello! I'm the one responsible for checking every single texture hack if they are online unsafe, and if one is unsafe, I always have a reason for it. All texture hacks are categorised hereand if you let me know which texture hack you used, including which version of it, I can tell you the reason why it is unsafe.

But why wasn't there an announcement? Like I said, it was working yesterday and suddenly it isn't. An information would be nice...

As of currently, that texture hack is not banned, as I have only tested tracks up until Moonview Highway. When I eventually do test this one, I would have to deny it for online, since you are able to see traps more easily. I suppose a moderator must have seen your stream and decided to temporarily ban you for a few minutes.

Here is a list of texture hacks and edits: ct.wiimm.de/stat/hack-counters
Each number is a link to a related track list.

"texture" are accepted texture hacks. "temp-allow" are allowed by robot, but not confirmed by the team. "temp-deny" are forbidden by robot, but not confirmed by the team. All others are forbidden.

Then was my used texture "temp-deny". Still I wish there was an announcement for this. I didn't know I get a ban for it since it's nowhere mentioned...

"All others are forbidden" can be a bit scary. It's like a whitelist instead of a blacklist - it would make more sense to blacklist unwanted textures, right?

I noticed from the pack I am using, some of the tracks are reported as an "Unknown track" via Wiimmfi website. Most of these have gone away over the years, only very slowly, but there are still several left.

If it's a pack that is public and is or was on the Wiiki, then please let us know so we can make sure they get processed.

If it's a private pack, then you can send the files to me, Krummers, or Wiimm and we will get them processed without granting everyone a download link.

How should a blacklist work when anyone can build a new cheat track with minimal modifications. Technically, only a white list is feasible.

Over my next few streams, I will be identifying all unknown textures and will group them together in 2 folders - 1 being my personal variation of said pack, 2 being the public release.

Someone please help I am literally freaking out… all my hard work seems to be going down the train as I am fearful for a long ban. Please refer to my post in about banning if anyone sees this
