      Wiimmfi Error Code: 51330 on Virtual Wii

      I wanted to play Mario Kart Wii after the shutdown, but I keep getting an error code. I don't get it. I had the primary DNS server to 95.217.77.181 and the secondary DNS server to 8.8.8.8. I power-cycled my router and did a connection test to be sure everything turned out fine. Leseratte, am I missing something?

      51330 on a vWii usually means your WiFi is too old.

      The Wii is, by modern standards, an ancient console and only supports ancient WiFi encryptions. The WiiU supports newer ones (since otherwise you wouldn't be able to set up your internet connection), but Nintendo was too lazy to update the virtual Wii to support these, too.

      Try setting your router to an older encryption like WPA2-PSK-AES - it's probably currently set to either WPA2-PSK-TKIP or WPA3, neither of which the virtual Wii supports.
